The
great playwright George Bernard Shaw summed up his formula for
his explosive creativity as, "First, you imagine. Imagination
is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you
will what you imagine, and at last you create what you will.'
In
this statement is a powerful sequence for self-actualization,
which is incorporated in the third week of 'The Four Faculties
of Happiness'. The third week of our course focuses specifically
on the development of the free will faculty and creating the imaginative
choice.
This
course throughout is highly 'action-oriented'. The classic principles
of Dr. Hill and Dr Maslow are translated into a comprehensive
action plan, for you to exercise your freedom to choose, -
i.e.developing the free will faculty.
The
philosopher Martin Buber beautifully described this faculty, as
the ability to move with direction, in expressing “that
primal tension of the human soul which moves it at times out of
the infinity of the possible to choose this and nothing else,
and to realize it through action.”
'a
course in Greatness' will help you to get to this decisive and
powerful mindset. You'll gain that ‘higher
perspective’ of consciousness that knows the boundaries
of fear, of limitation, as utterly unreal.
The
program facilitates this resolve in movement through the 3
distinct levels of decision making as identified by composer
and philosopher Robert Fritz :
-
The
Fundamental Choices
– which represent a fundamental commitment to a central
life orientation or a basic state of being
-
The
Primary Choices – which are the choices about
a major result that one desires to see realized
-
The
Secondary Choices – the step by step choices
that moves one towards the actualization of the primary
choice
At
each point there is a progression choice and a regression choice.
To make the growth choice instead of fear choice a dozen times
a day
is to move a dozen times a day towards self-actualization.
