a
course in Abundance: Habitual Diligence
The second half of your
life is usually made up of nothing
but the habits you acquired during the first half.
Feodor Dostoevski
Charles
Dickens, the beloved 19th century author whose books and short stories
have never gone out of print since, summed up his secret to his
success in one sentence: "I never could have done what I have
done without the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without
the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time."
Having
fundamentally established a set of powerful habits to govern the
physical and emotional self in the previous courses, the following
program helps the participant develop a powerful set of routines
for making the most of their mental-creative dimension. 'Everything
yields to diligence', as the greek poet Antiphanes wrote.
Diligence
is the key to developing authentic self-esteem and dignity. Real
self-esteem is not something that can be purchased by mere self-affirmation
or by the praise of others, nor can it be bought or fabricated.
It comes about as the natural effect of diligent work.
'a
course in Abundance' helps self-actualizers to habitualize ways
to better manage their outer resource like time and money, through
their inner resources of initiative and concentration - to effectively
actualize their 'definitive purpose', and in turn, the actualization
of an abundant life.
Diligence is the mother
of good fortune, and idleness, its opposite,
never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes.
Miguel de Cervantes
What
You Can Realize
This
program explores the unique challenges that confront self-actualizers
in meeting their life mission, across the wide spectrum of vocations.
Examining one's strengths, passions and present opportunities, participants
get a hold of this vital knowledge and build the confidence in effectively
creating their most valuable life legacy.
Attending
to the both the ideals and practicals in creating meaningful and
profitable creative endeavors - the course provides insights, implementation
tools and realistic evaluations, for self-actualizers to resolve
specific vocational dilemmas and achieve more with their time.
Your
Course of Habitualization
The
course is built upon the first theological virtue of faith - the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence not seen - to establish
a solid-rock foundation in the pursuit of living out one's dream
life.
The
course includes readings, lessons, exercises and workshops in vital
business strategies, career development pathways, as well as critical
philosophical understandings that that greats have used. Individuals
work privately and in teams to produce customized, action-centered
plans that will lead to better methods for getting this done, and
more importantly, that the right things get done.
Prerequisite:
a course in Harmony: HABITUAL PASSION
The expectations of life
depend upon diligence;
the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his
tools.
